Data Center Manager, NRT DCO Tokyo, JPN Lead a team dedicated to building and operating AWS Japan's safest, most secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. You'll develop great people while maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence within established frameworks. Our organization - AWS data centers are the heart of our Cloud, powering applications and websites worldwide. Operating 24/7, these critical facilities house advanced servers, network devices and other systems. Our Data Center team manages and operates these facilities, supporting AWS's innovative suite of Cloud Computing services and building the foundation of the digital world. We strive to deliver the world's highest quality data center services, for our customers to innovate on the cloud affordably and at scale, with uninterrupted availability, seamless scaling, and physical security for AWS customers. Key job responsibilities Leadership & Execution • Lead and develop a team of 8-12 data center technicians • Drive operational excellence through established frameworks • Identify and mitigate risks with clear escalation paths • Document and maintain standard operating procedures • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Safety, Security & Availability • Create and maintain safe work environment • Drive understanding and adherence to technical standards • Ensure immediate remediation when standards aren't met • Lead emergency response preparation and execution • Manage proper escalation processes • Deliver capacity aligned with customer needs People Development & Process Improvement • Develop professional data center skills across team • Executing performance evaluations • Provide coaching and managing performance • Establish clear career paths
