About this role

Corporate Counsel, Amazon Leo for Government (Satellites / Communications) Sydney, New South Wales, AUS We are looking for a talented Corporate Counsel to join the Amazon Leo for Government Legal team. Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. You will help Amazon Leo navigate new frontiers by reviewing government contract solicitations and proposals, providing guidance on subcontracts and technology development agreements, advising on intellectual property matters, and helping to ensure compliance with a wide range of international government contracts. This position may require access to export-controlled information (ECI) subject to EAR and ITAR. Final employment decision is contingent upon satisfactory completion of export control screenings and obtaining any necessary export licenses or approvals, based on nationality, citizenship, and other factors considered by applicable export control regulations. Key job responsibilities - Review and analyze government contract solicitations and proposals - Draft and negotiate subcontracts and technology development agreements - Provide guidance on intellectual property matters and export control compliance - Develop creative, business-centric strategies for complex legal issues - Design scalable processes that balance risk management with business agility We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. Some travel, domestic and international, will be required.
