From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We are seeking a talented attorney with a passion for telecommunications regulatory law to join our growing legal team and help shape the future of global connectivity. Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities - Provide U.S. and international regulatory counsel on satellite-based broadband services - Develop and advocate legal and policy positions across domestic and international regulatory proceedings - Partner with Amazon Leo's technical, public policy, and business teams to identify and navigate regulatory risks - Monitor evolving regulatory landscapes and translate complex legal requirements into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders - Draft regulatory filings, policy advocacy materials, and internal legal guidance with clarity and precision - Contribute to cross-functional strategy discussions where regulatory considerations intersect with business decisions A day in the life No two days look the same on the Amazon Leo legal team. You might start your morning reviewing a regulatory filing with a foreign jurisdiction and close the day drafting a policy advocacy position
