We're seeking a passionate safety professional to revolutionize building design and workplace protection across Japan. In this critical role, you'll be at the forefront of creating safer work environments by implementing progressive prevention through design principles that protect our most valuable asset - our people. Join us in our mission to make Amazon the safest workplace on Earth, where innovation meets protection. *This role requires travel across Japan approximately 40 to 60% of time, based in Tokyo. Key job responsibilities: - Conduct comprehensive safety design reviews and risk assessments. - Develop and implement safety standards aligned with local regulations and Amazon's global safety principles. - Communicate complex safety insights to diverse stakeholders. - Create detailed safety inspection reports and tracking mechanisms. - Contribute to the continuous improvement of safety design templates. The successful candidate will be: - Responsible for ensuring safe design of our buildings across Japan. - Responsible for ensuring that a site is compliant with all applicable regulations and Amazon standards. - Able to comprehend and apply technical expertise to the building design solutions. - Required to possess a strong knowledge of Workplace Health & Safety. - Able to work closely with Projects, Design, Launch and Construction stakeholders to ensure buildings are safe and compliant.
