About deployments: - A strong deployment strategist will have the ability to lead an industrial organization through one of the largest digital transformations it has gone through in decades. This requires a few key traits: - Ethos. There are two main components that make up ethos in this context: - The ability to learn quickly: You'll quickly gain credibility with our clients if you deeply understand transportation and logistics and the idiosyncrasies of their operations. That care translates into high standards, close relationships, and intensity. - Backed by a large seed round from top investors like BoxGroup, Base10, and more. About the role - Build and scale core optimization algorithms used directly in production - Write optimization systems (e.g. MILPs, LPs, heuristics, etc.) - Build and maintain data pipelines that operate at real production scale - Move quickly from idea → implementation → customer usage - Contribute to long-term product and technical direction - Willingness to do whatever is needed technically, from deep algorithm work to integration and tooling - Comfortable being forward-deployed: talking to customers, understanding constraints, and solving concrete problems - In office in New York City is required. A bit about the role and ideal matches: - Looking for generalists who are willing to do any task technically to push the team forward (from long-term product vision to integration work) - Ideally comfortable with being forward deployed - ie, enjoy talking to clients, figuring out their pain points and priorities, and then using that information to solve their problems. - Ships code fast and often; is not a perfectionist - Is an extremely hard worker when they are in a strong team environment and working on a vision they care about - Has experience at top start ups or big tech companies companies; or is an ex-founder/founding engineer; or someone who obsesses over side projects (deployed and live, ideally). - Comfortable with Python/Typescript Pedigree is generally not important - just looking for people who are grinders, intelligent, and are good at moving quickly.
