Business Affairs Manager San Francisco, California, United States About the Team OpenAI didn't begin as a traditional company. It began as an idea: that artificial intelligence could be developed in a way that benefits everyone. As a creative team, our role is to help make sure the work behind that idea is understood, as it leaves the lab and meets the world. This company works at the frontier of intelligence. Like any frontier, it's unfinished, constantly shifting, and still being explored. Our job is to stay close to that uncertainty and help shape how this story gets told, in a way that feels grounded and human. We do this through campaigns, launches, films, brand systems, and work that doesn't fit neatly into any of those categories yet. This team is for people who want to help shape something from the beginning. About the Role OpenAI's Marketing team is looking for a Business Affairs Manager to support our Hardware team. In this role, you'll own Business Affairs work streams across highly confidential, high-visibility marketing projects from early concepting through launch and post-launch usage. You'll be embedded in the project work, partnering closely with Hardware, Product Marketing, Creative, Production, Legal, Procurement, Security, Comms, and external partners to ensure rights, clearances, contracts, vendor requirements, documentation, and risk decisions are managed end-to-end. This role requires someone who can move fluidly between strategic judgment and hands-on execution: shaping scalable BA processes while also driving the day-to-day details that keep complex projects moving. You'll partner with

Technical Deployment Lead - Sydney Sydney, Australia, Sydney, Australia About the team OpenAI's Forward Deployed Engineering team partners with customers to turn research breakthroughs into production systems. We operate at the intersection of customer delivery and core platform development. About the Role This is a founding role in Sydney. As a Technical Deployment Lead (TDL), you will define how OpenAI delivers complex systems to customers. You will own how they are built, shipped, and adopted. You'll translate business outcomes into a technical plan, run day-to-day execution across FDEs, Researchers, and Customer Engineers, and partner with customer teams to ensure delivery supports their goals. This is not a management role, however you'll own delivery end-to-end: embedding with customers to map workflows and success criteria, ensuring components ship on time, and leading readiness and change management for adoption. You'll track progress, manage dependencies, make sequencing decisions, and drive 0→1 prototypes through MVP and scale. You will also share field insights with Product and Research to guide roadmap and priorities. Success will be measured first and foremost by impact - deployments that deliver measurable value against customer goals, drive adoption, and become critical to their workflows. Additional measures of success include delivery reliability (milestones hit, low reopen/churn), operating leverage (patterns reused across deployments), judgment under pressure, and product impact (field signal that shifts roadmaps/architectures). This is a high-trust, high-autonomy role. Success requires deep technical project management expertise, extreme ownership of outcomes, and an ability to immerse in customer workflows and partner with customer

Machine Learning Engineer, ML/GenAI Evaluation Austin, United States of America Would you like to contribute to Machine Learning and Generative AI technologies? Are you passionate about measuring what matters and ensuring AI systems work reliably for everyone? Do you believe that rigorous evaluation - including holding models accountable to fairness standards - is what separates great ML from good ML? We truly believe it is! We are defining what exceptional looks like for machine learning across Wallet, Payments, and Commerce. As a Machine Learning Engineer specializing in Evaluation, you will establish the evaluation criteria, metrics frameworks, and quality standards that determine when models are ready to reach hundreds of millions of users. Your judgment shapes model quality and earns the confidence to ship. You'll work at the intersection of rigorous ML science and high-impact product decisions, collaborating closely with ML Engineering, Product, Privacy, and Legal teams. This unique opportunity puts you at the center of model quality - designing adversarial test strategies, surfacing failure modes before they reach users, and owning the sign-off process that ensures Apple's financial features meet the highest bar for accuracy, robustness, and reliability. The ideal candidate is a rigorous, curious ML practitioner who believes that how you measure a model is just as important as how you train it. You think critically about what metrics actually capture, know how models break in the real world, and hold quality standards others find uncomfortably high - including on dimensions like fairness.
