About this role

Founding Engineer Munich | Hybrid | Remote THE OPPORTUNITY LLMs are fundamentally changing analytical work. Capabilities that once required large teams of highly paid data engineers are becoming accessible to smaller companies for the first time. At Palantir, we delivered real data and BI value, but deployments never scaled without expensive, hands-on engineers. We believe LLMs change this. Zeit AI is building the agentic machinery to unblock Europes SMEs. We need to engineer agents that understand any business, integrate various data sources and built applications that help operators to tackle unforeseen business challenges. As a Founding Engineer, you will treat ZeitMind as your product. You will shape how non-technical users work with data, workflows, and agents. This role is about making product decisions under uncertainty, building durable foundations, and iterating directly from real usage. You will operate end to end: forming assumptions, shipping production systems, validating outcomes, and refining direction based on what actually works. YOU'LL THRIVE IF YOU: - are comfortable working without predefined specs - take full ownership of outcomes, from idea to production to user impact - think in systems and products. Code is a means to build leverage, not the goal - form strong assumptions, test them quickly, and are willing to discard them when reality disagrees - care deeply about how users actually work and design accordingly - want to build foundations early rather than optimize mature systems - bring strong full-stack experience. TypeScript and React are required - are comfortable owning data-heavy production systems
