About this role
Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE) Munich | OnSite THE OPPORTUNITY LLMs are changing how analytical work gets done. Tasks that once required large teams of data engineers can now be solved faster and more flexibly, if the underlying data and workflows are set up correctly. Zeit AI is building the autonomous data agent for Europe. We work with real companies and real data: exports from ERP systems, CRM data, spreadsheets, and internal databases. Our goal is to help non-technical users answer questions and run workflows that previously required external support or a lot of manual work. As a Forward-Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with customers to make this happen. You will connect data, model workflows, and solve concrete business problems using our product. You act as a technical problem solver, a product translator, and a trusted partner for the customer, and you feed everything you learn back into the product. You will own customer problems end to end, with support from a strong engineering team behind you. YOU'LL THRIVE IF YOU: - enjoy working directly with users and customers without heavy hand-holding - like solving messy, real-world problems where data is incomplete, inconsistent, or poorly documented - think in workflows and systems rather than dashboards or models - care about whether something works in production and delivers value - are comfortable operating with some ambiguity and enjoy figuring out what the right solution should be - like learning from real usage and feeding those insights back into product and engineering -
