About this role
Manager, Accounting - Hybrid Country US XPO is looking for a talented, highly motivated individual to be a great addition to our hybrid on-site corporate accounting team. The Accounting Manager role is mainly responsible for month-end close and related periodic financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual), SOX compliance, periodic/annual audits, and ad-hoc projects. This individual should be well-versed in technical accounting under U.S. GAAP and comfortable interacting with all levels of organizational leadership. This is a hands-on position requiring a deep knowledge of accounting rules to be able to suggest and/or create policies, processes and procedures that keep pace with the growth of the company as well as maintain compliance to U.S. GAAP financial reporting. What you'll need to succeed as an Accounting Manager at XPO Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience CPA license 5 years of combination public accounting/industry experience 2-3+ years of direct people management and mentorship experience Proficinecy with Microsoft Office tools, including advanced Excel skills with the ability to create pivot tables, use VLOOKUP as well as other analytical functions Highly Preferred qualifications: Experience working for a large, national publicly traded company.
