Engineering Technical Leader - Test Engineer Tucson, AZ, United States Company Description: Job Description: Who will you be working with? The Wabtec Mining team delivers world class electric drive propulsion systems for heavy haul mining trucks with payloads up to 400T. These systems are introducing new technology to help mines meet their sustainability goals. How will you make a difference? In this role you will work with the control team to develop, implement, and validate controls for electric drive mining vehicles. You'll have the opportunity to interact directly with customers and cross functional teams during project definition and execution. What do we want to know about you? Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent field) Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering preferred. Minimum of 8 years of experience in: Control and system validation for motors, alternators, and power electronic systems Electromechanical system testing System design and circuit analysis EMC testing and compliance Modeling and analysis using tools such as MATLAB/Simulink Project management What will your typical day look like? Report to the Engineering Manager for the Mining Controls team and collaborate with the Engineering organization. Plan and manage multiple concurrent tests at the customer proving ground, including truck‑level EMC and propulsion validation, as well as component and feature V&V-ensuring safety, compliance, logistics, materials, staffing, and communication needs are met. Configure vehicles and components for test activities. Set up electrical and mechanical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, probes, spectrum analyzers, antennas, accelerometers, temperature sensors, and data acquisition systems. Conduct
