Design Engineer - New Product Development Oak Creek, WI, United States Company Description: Job Description: Who will you be working with? Our New Product Development team team combines knowledge of customers' requirements with deep domain expertise and tenured experience to deliver new Maintenance of Way (MOW) equipment and solutions that exceeds expectations. Here you will partner with other key stakeholders to support our customers and their operations. How will you make a difference? As a member of the New Product Development team, you will be responsible for designing functional, reliable, cost-effective Maintenance of Way products or systems within cost targets and while maintaining project schedule. You will also provide direct support to our on-site R/D team with hands-on review and troubleshooting. What do we want to know about you? Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology. Four (4) + years in industry related field. Experience in design structures and mechanisms. Experience with electrical control and hydraulic systems. Results driven. Verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work well with cross-functional teams. Proficiency in MS Office. Experienced in 3D CAD modeling. Proficiency in Pro E Creo is preferred. Mechanism analysis using standard methods (hand calculations) and/or computer simulation (mechanical preferred). Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. What will your typical day look like? Plans and organizes design work on individual components or pieces as assigned by the Project Leader. Uses CAD systems to layout, design and modify existing equipment and produce drawings for new or existing equipment. Performs engineering calculations on new
