Field Services SME(Subject Matter Expert) Canberra, ACT, Australia Canberra, ACT, Australia What success looks like in this role: This role will serve as a S ubject matter exper t, leading the delivery of high-quality technical support and services to our clients within the Australian Government. In this advanced capacity, you will not only troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, perform system installations and maintenance, and provide on-site support to ensure the seamless operation of client IT infrastructure, but also drive continuous improvement and innovation across field services practices. A core responsibility of this role is to champion problem management-identifying recurring issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing sustainable solutions that enhance service reliability and efficiency. You will lead initiatives to innovate technical processes, introduce best practices, and foster a culture of ongoing improvement within the team. As a recognized SME, you will provide expert guidance to both clients and internal teams, ensuring that evolving needs are met with the highest standards of professionalism and technical excellence. You will mentor and develop junior engineers, instilling a mindset of innovation and continuous learning, and ensuring the team consistently delivers exceptional customer care. This role requires a mandatory NV2 AGSVA security clearance. Skills and Experience: Proven experience in a Deskside support environment performing fault investigation, triaging, and resolution. Experience with desktop support, server support, hardware, network and software installation and troubleshooting.
