About this role
Global Markets - Electronic - Principal - Trader A CRB Quant Trader is responsible for developing quantitative models and managing the systematic execution of trades and orders on a principal basis. The role focuses on generating revenue, providing liquidity to clients, and supporting client needs through disciplined risk and capital management. Key Responsibilities: • Generate revenue through development and timely/accurate execution and booking of trades/orders on a principal basis (generating P&L) • Proactively keep abreast of market developments and trading opportunities; have a strong understanding of financial markets, instruments, and strategies • Facilitate client order flow by providing liquidity via proprietary inventory (utilizing the firm's capital) or accessing third party external offerings • Adhere to all applicable regulations and internal policies including but not limited to quality of execution (example: best execution), trading activities (example: Volcker), pricing, hedging, trading-limits and compliance policies • Manage broad range of risks, including but not limited to trading risk, execution risk, operational risk, compliance risk and conduct risk etc., evaluating options and making decisions • Follow, adhere to and promote the UBS principles and behaviours acting with integrity, due skill, care, and diligence always • Ensure escalation and disclosure of any information of which applicable regulators would reasonably expect notice • Observe proper standards of market conduct while paying due regard to interests of customers and treating them fairly • Where supervising other members of staff, ensure adherence to applicable regulations and internal policies via effective supervision and oversight with reference to the Principles
