About this role
Tax Operations Specialist Chennai Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy. The Tax Operations team works closely with our clients, agencies, and internal teams such as onboarding, customer care, and banking. Our primary focus is ensuring compliance with US payroll tax filing and deposits for our clients. The Tax Specialist will be responsible for contributing to the day-to-day success of the Tax Operations team. This individual will be responsible for the completion of tasks related to maintaining client tax profiles and ensuring a smooth client experience. In addition, the Tax Specialist will serve as a key contributor to larger team and organizational initiatives to drive improvement and efficiency as we continue to grow A day in the life (Responsibilities) - Perform routine payroll tax profile audits of existing clients to ensure accuracy - Processes payroll corrections to prepare for amendments and communicates summaries of the corrections to clients - Completes monthly New Hire Reporting to state agencies - Assists in monthly, quarterly and annual tax filing audits - Communicates with clients regarding missing or invalid account information - Maintain individual performance to meet established team goals and OKRs - Obtain accurate tax jurisdiction account information to ensure timely filing and payment of payroll tax obligations - Participate in various processes and initiatives to ensure accurate payments and filings of client taxes What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) - A minimum Bachelor's
