Located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern, British Columbia, Trail offers outdoor adventure at your fingertips. Role Overview Reporting to a Superintendent, in the Projects Group, Trail Operations is currently seeking an individual in the role of Project Engineer. This challenging role will see you drawing upon your strong interpersonal and communication skills and your technical background. Please note this role does require the successful candidate to live within 100KM of Trail, British Columbia. Relocation assistance will be offered however there is no camp or company housing. Key Responsibilities Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures Lead and support multi-disciplinary engineering studies and improvement initiatives, embedding value engineering and ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives Manage a portfolio of major maintenance, demolition and capital projects, including scope development, budgeting, scheduling, and executing, as per the applicable internal project framework Conduct equipment condition assessments, failure investigations, and asset life evaluations to identify risks and improvement opportunities Identify and implement opportunities
