About this role
Maintenance Technician-SME Houston, TX Job Purpose This position reports to the Maintenance and Facilities Department. The primary function of this position is to maintain repairs and troubleshoots production machinery (e.g., CNC mills and lathes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems) and the facility infrastructure. The Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing or arranging for the repair of all building operating systems on the site. Job Description Responsible for all preventive maintenance, necessary maintenance and repairs to the buildings mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and to the production machinery or process equipment. This involves normal lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, replacement of consumable parts (such as filters, indicator lights, etc.), and periodic testing of the equipment. Monitors mechanical, electrical, HVAC plumbing, life safety, fire protection and security systems to ensure proper operations and takes action or reports any conditions that are out of the ordinary. Tasking includes repairing equipment or developing alternative solutions to present as repair options. In some cases, a creative solution must be implemented to keep production operational while the technically best or correct solution is found.
