CAD Designer / Drafter Job Country United States At TE, you will unleash your potential working with people from diverse backgrounds and industries to create a safer, sustainable and more connected world. Job Overview Supports design or comprehensive testing of samples and prototypes, products, and components under supervision. Job Requirements Create and modify 3D models and technical drawings Apply GD&T principles to ensure proper design communication Collaborate with engineering teams on product development Support manufacturing and quality processes through accurate documentation Maintain design documentation and version control What your background should look like Required Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in 3D mechanical design Proficiency in CREO Parametric (preferred) or equivalent 3D CAD software Creo Sheet metal design experience and understanding of fabrication requirements Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles Experience with technical drawing creation and documentation per ASME Y14.5 Knowledge of manufacturing processes including: Stamping operations (cutting, forming, bending, coining) Metal forming and shaping processes Machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, EDM/WEDM) Molding processes and tooling considerations Hardware selection and fastener specifications Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in connector design or related electromechanical components Familiarity with manufacturing processes and design for manufacturability (DFM) Experienc
