About this role
Applied AI Engineer II Addison, TX (Hybrid); Durham, NC (Hybrid) The Basics As an Applied AI Engineer II, you will be tasked with building and maintaining best-of-breed products as part of a small and nimble development team. Tanium focuses on a strong customer engagement model and feedback process to ensure our products are designed the right way from the beginning. When new products ideas are identified, our software engineers are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying the products from the ground up, while continuously iterating with product management and customers for feedback and input. This position follows the Company's hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the Durham, NC or Addison, TX office a minimum of three days per week. What you'll do - Design, develop, and deploy AI Agents and machine learning models to solve complex business problems - Create and maintain backend systems for LLMs and AI Agents, ensuring high performance and scalability - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing systems and workflows - Optimize and fine-tune models and AI Agents for performance, accuracy, and efficiency - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for AI model and AI Agent deployment - Monitor and troubleshoot AI systems in production, ensuring reliability and robustness - Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, AI Agents, and related technologies We're looking for someone with - Education - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience - CS Degree preferred - Experience - 3+ years of professional
