About this role

Avionics Design Engineer Mojave, CA Stratolaunch is a technology accelerator that engineers operationally realistic testing at Mach 5+. Our air-launched, Talon testbeds are reusable, cost-effective platforms that enable routine access to the hypersonic environment. We deliver flight data critical to validating system performance and achieving rapid technology deployment. Together with our customers, we drive innovations that are imperative to advancing national security. To help achieve these efforts, Stratolaunch is seeking an Electrical, Avionics Drafter level I, II, or Sr to support design, integration, testing, and maintenance of one of our carrier or hypersonic vehicles electrical and avionics systems; as an Avionics Design Engineer you will be responsible for the following: - Integrate Avionics and Electrical components into aircraft including gathering requirements, generating wiring diagrams, supporting shop personnel performing the work, and testing the completed systems. - Develop and maintain system and sub-system drawing packages. - Define system architecture for Avionics and Electrical systems. - Develop engineering documentation for Avionics and Electrical systems including Drawing Trees, Block Diagrams, Interface Control Documents (ICD), and Wiring Diagrams - Define the Bill of Material (BOM) for electrical drawings. - Partner with harness engineers to determine harness routing requirements. - Define and update design rules and standards as required. - Incorporate redlines from the engineering design team and hanging redlines from completed manufacturing work - Support design validation testing and resolve design related failures. - Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools such as, CAD, NX, CATIA, Mentor Graphics - Liaison engineering support in the
