Mechanical Engineer Scoville, ID Location: Scoville, ID Schedule: Full-Time Standard Nuclear is fueling America's nuclear renaissance at industrial scale. Our mission is to deliver the essential building blocks of nuclear power-enabling cost-effective, safe, and secure energy for the world. The Mechanical Engineer supports Standard Nuclear's Idaho facility by developing and implementing equipment, facility, and process improvement projects that improve reliability, safety, throughput, and operational performance. This role provides hands-on engineering support for manufacturing, maintenance, and facility operations, including troubleshooting higher-level mechanical issues and supporting equipment upgrades, modifications, and repairs. This is a practical, site-based engineering role for someone who is comfortable working across both technical design and field execution. The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with operations, maintenance, facilities, and engineering teams to identify problems, develop solutions, and help implement improvements in a manufacturing environment. The role requires strong mechanical judgment, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to support the broader site team when operational needs arise. RESPONSIBILITIES Mechanical Engineering & Improvement Projects - Develop and implement mechanical improvement projects for equipment, utilities, facility systems, and manufacturing processes - Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintainability, safety, and production efficiency - Support design, review, and execution of mechanical modifications, upgrades, and repairs - Develop scopes of work, technical requirements, layouts, sketches, and supporting documentation for site projects - Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to execute improvement projects safely and effectively Equipment Troubleshooting & Technical Support - Provide technical support for complex mechanical equipment issues and higher-level breakdowns - Assist
