Licensing Engineer Oak Ridge, TN Standard Nuclear is fueling America's nuclear renaissance at industrial scale. FUNCTION The Licensing Engineer supports the development and execution of licensing activities for Standard Nuclear's fuel fabrication and transportation programs. This role focuses on authoring and reviewing technical documentation, supporting safety analyses, and ensuring alignment between engineering design and regulatory requirements. This is a technically focused role within the licensing organization, intended for an engineer who can contribute immediately to project deliverables while developing deeper expertise in nuclear licensing. The position works closely with engineering, operations, and project teams to translate technical designs and processes into compliant, high-quality licensing documentation. RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Documentation & Analysis - Author and review technical documents including design criteria, functional requirements, purchase specifications, operating procedures, materials evaluation reports, code reconciliations, and similar technical work scopes - Develop and support Safety Analysis Reports (SARs) and associated technical sections Ensure technical accuracy, clarity, and regulatory alignment of all documentation Licensing & Regulatory Support - Support licensing activities related to NRC regulations, including 10 CFR Part 71 (Packaging and Transportation of Radioactive Material)and 10 CFR Part 70 (Domestic Licensing of Special Nuclear Material) as applicable - Review engineering, design, and fabrication drawings for licensing compliance - Assist in preparation of regulatory submittals and responses to regulatory inquiries - As required assist in hazard identification, accident sequence evaluation, and identification of Items Relied on
