Legal Counsel, Music Publishing Singapore We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel with strong expertise in music publishing and copyright licensing to join Spotify's Legal Licensing team. In this role, you'll partner closely with Business Affairs, Finance, and Product teams to structure, negotiate, and draft complex licensing agreements with CMOs and music publishers. You'll play a key role in shaping the legal frameworks that govern how musical works are used across Spotify's service in APAC, helping enable innovation while supporting rights holders and creators. What You'll Do - Provide clear, practical legal advice on music publishing, copyright, and licensing matters across APAC markets - Structure, draft, and negotiate agreements with music publishers and collective management organizations (CMOs) - Partner closely with Business Affairs and cross-functional teams to support commercial negotiations and strategic initiatives - Advise on legal implications of new product features, launches, and business models involving musical works - Help ensure compliance with contractual obligations, copyright laws, and local regulatory frameworks - Translate complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance
