About this role
Test Technician (Starlink) Redmond, WA SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. TEST TECHNICIAN (STARLINK) SpaceX is developing a low latency, broadband internet system to meet the needs of consumers across the globe. Enabled by a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites, Starlink will provide fast, reliable internet to populations with little or no connectivity, including those in rural communities and places where existing services are too expensive or unreliable. We are looking for talented test technicians to support the development and production of optoelectronic devices for Starlink. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Responsible for preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems - Use mechanical hand tools and torque wrenches to set up parts on test fixtures. - Support development tests setup and test lab organization efforts. - Self-monitor work progress against fast-paced area benchmarks and achieve on time delivery of all work. - Program and operate environmental test chambers and/or vibration shakers. - Use basic and advanced electronic test equipment and Test Racks/DAQs to run performance tests on parts. - Assist design engineers with developing and documenting test procedures. - Interpret a variety of sources ranging from controlled, released documentation to informal sketches. - Identify design gaps; ask directed questions, and apply skill and experience to resolve them, and
