NDE Specialist, Eddy Current (Starship) - Level III Starbase, TX SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. NDE SPECIALIST, EDDY CURRENT (STARSHIP) - LEVEL III RESPONSIBILITIES: - Inspection Responsibilities (25% of time) - Perform inspections on flight and GSE hardware. - Interpret, evaluate, communicate, and report findings to production and engineering. - Interpret and review engineering drawings as required. - Continuously improve the safety and reliability of the operations environment. - Specialist Responsibilities (75% of time) - Own the improvement and execution of the training program for the relevant method. - Operate as the first point of contact for technique-based questions from inspectors and engineering. - Work with engineering (design, NDE, and manufacturing) on process improvements including descopes, inspection reliability evaluation/improvement, and rollout of development projects. This necessitates a strong relationship and collaboration with NDE engineering. - Own the equipment reliability strategy and execution for the relevant method. - Perform technical interviews of NDE Inspector candidates. - Develop and maintain relationships with key external vendors. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma or equivalency certificate. - Level III ASNT/NAS-410 in Eddy Current (ET).
