MECHANICAL DESIGN SPECIALIST, PCBA PRODUCTION - 1 st SHIFT (STARLINK) We are looking for a talented Mechanical Design Specialist to aid Starlink satellite production and drive process improvements. As a Mechanical Design Specialist, you will be responsible for creating tooling and equipment to enable high-rate production of satellite PCBAs. You will work closely with manufacturing engineers focused on SMT and secondary PCBA processes such as selective solder, X-ray, press fit, staking/underfill, and conformal coat. An individual in the specialist role will support production by managing tooling assets, writing and validating machine programs, collecting data, and communicating with various stakeholders across the company. This position will be hands-on and befits someone passionate about mechanical design, willing to learn and collaborate, and motivated to take on challenging work. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Design, review, draft, procure, assemble, and test tooling and equipment - Identify and action continuous improvement opportunities for safety, build quality, efficiency, and cost - Triage non-conforming product and drive resolution and preventative actions - Resolve production issues while ensuring process integrity, product quality, and delivery timelines - Document work performed in organized matter - Ensure the successful transition of products from development to
