About this role

Full Stack Software Engineer (Components) Hawthorne, CA SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars. FULL STACK SOFTWARE ENGINEER (COMPONENTS) The Components Engineering Team develops the world's best flight hardware and fabricates it at an in-house machine shop for Starship. The team is making a next generation machine shop with advanced software and automation, an alien dreadnought machine that builds the machine. As a software engineer, you will design novel software solutions such as web applications for efficient factory operation, algorithms and AI to automatically create CNC programs, control and deployment of CNC machines, and much more. These improvements will enable rapid Starship production rates of 100+ per year as well as a quick development cycle, which are critical for SpaceX's Moon and Mars missions. Previous manufacturing experience is not necessary, just the desire to make high-quality software to rapidly build Starships. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Develop highly reliable software solutions that are used across many SpaceX teams - Own all aspects of software development, including design, testing, and deployment - Rapidly create new applications that improve the production cycle time in the machine shop and the time to go from CAD to part in hand - Deep dive into your users' problems to find and create efficient solutions - Bring your voice
