Facilities Technician – Temporary – Night Shift Starbase, TX SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. FACILITIES TECHNICIAN - TEMPORARY - NIGHT SHIFT RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform routine building maintenance tasks, including non-technical troubleshooting and repair of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and/or carpentry requests - Conduct site-wide maintenance to our facilities, including painting, patching walls, replacing ceiling/flooring tiles, and carpet - Perform inspections and repairs to assigned site interior and exterior areas, including walls, floors, installed fixtures, roofing systems, and lighting - Aid janitorial and hospitality staff with general requests for support, including moving furniture, racks/equipment, disposing of garbage using forklifted dumpster bins, and set-up and tear down of special event areas - Manage campus-wide operations and maintenance programs assigned by facilities management - Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts when needed - Open, track, and resolve electronic work tickets on SpaceX's custom work order system - Always adhere to proper safety guidelines POSITION DETAILS: This is a temporary position with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate. - LENGTH OF POSITION: 6 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need) - SHIFT: 6PM - 6AM - LOCATION: Brownsville, TX BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - High school diploma
