About this role
1st Shift Heavy Duty Assembly Louisville, KY, US Overview Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible for assembling automotive lifts and lift components as assigned by the Production Supervisor. Starts out at $17.86/hr and attendance incentive. Hours are 5:30am to 4:00pm, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday. Responsibilities Assemble automotive lifts and components/accessories Assist in implementation of 6S initiatives and activities with emphasis on safety Suggest and assist in process improvements which assures quality, efficiency, and safety is built into the process Assist in fabrication processes as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications An understanding and ability to use assembly tools Capable of reading a tape measure Understanding of blueprint reading Excellent communication skills. Must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization Strong understanding of process interaction Strong problem solving skills Understanding of general manufacturing Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours Must be able to periodically lift up to 45 pounds Must align with the Snap-on mission statement Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable). Must adhere to safety guidelines
