The company is known for high-quality work and operates with a lean, efficient team structure. Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team as a dedicated, full-time estimator working within our client's existing systems and workflows. The ideal candidate will own the full bid lifecycle - from plan review and quantity takeoff through bid submission and post-award coordination. This is a critical role where accuracy directly impacts profitability. You will work directly with the ownership team and play a key role in the company's ability to pursue blind bids and expand beyond referral-based work. Responsibilities - Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from architect and engineer-provided plans using PlanSwift and other estimating software - including material counts, labor hour assessments, and site-specific civil requirements. - Review project specifications, addendums, plan schedules, and local permitting requirements thoroughly to identify missing information and flag questions before bid submission. - Manage the full bid solicitation and submission process - from coordinating supplier and vendor pricing to preparing and submitting complete, accurate bids. - Track active bid invitations, manage the estimating pipeline, and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on pricing and scope clarification. - Support post-award
