Internship (OT/OTA Hospital Inpatient) Summer 2026 OT Fieldwork Hospital - Balt Wash; Hospital - Towson Opportunity Summary: Sheppard Pratt hospital programs, located in Towson, MD and Elkridge, MD serve individuals with acute psychiatric and behavioral health needs requiring inpatient and day hospitalization services. Program units including Child inpatient, adolescent inpatient, adult general inpatient and day hospital, geriatric inpatient, adult thought disorders inpatient and day hospital, co-occurring adult inpatient, and specialty units; eating disorders, neuro/intellectual disabilities, and trauma disorders. Patient's average length of stay is 7 - 10 days. Treatment focus is on stabilization of psychiatric symptoms, skill acquisition and application for patients to transition safely back into the community. Placement on a particular unit is not guaranteed.
