About this role
Health & Safety Construction Manager Southern Batch X (Severn Trent Water) Be part of a team reinventing how capital projects are delivered. Batch X is building a new delivery model for the water industry - partnering directly with Tier 2 contractors, using modern construction methods, and setting new standards in safety, quality and project performance. We're looking for a confident, forward‑thinking Senior Construction Manager to lead our construction assurance team and help shape the way our contractors work. This role is all about raising standards, embedding digital and lean practices, and giving our projects the delivery confidence they need to win. You'll work across engineering, H&S, quality and project delivery teams, bringing strong site leadership, technical judgment and the ability to influence behaviours at all levels. You'll also help uplift our contractor capability and play a key role in making Batch X an industry‑leading model. What you'll bring: Strong experience in construction, civils or utilities Deep understanding of CDM, RAMS, temporary works and site assurance A people‑centred leadership style with the confidence to challenge Passion for improving contractor performance and modernising delivery Ability to use data to drive decisions and spot trends This is a chance to shape a new delivery model , build a high‑performing supply chain and leave a legacy across Severn Trent Water and the wider industry.
