Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our dynamic team. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and components necessary for the production of autonomous surface vessels for the DoD. You will work closely with various departments to coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials while maintaining accurate inventory records. Responsibilities - Receive incoming shipments of materials and components, verifying accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips. - Organize and store materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper handling and adherence to safety protocols. - Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory management systems. - Prepare and package materials for outbound shipments, ensuring proper documentation and labeling. - Coordinate with procurement and production teams to fulfill material requisition requests in a timely manner. - Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material shortages or overages, communicating with relevant stakeholders to adjust orders as needed. - Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure inventory accuracy. - Assist in the implementation of lean manufacturing principles to optimize material flow and minimize waste. - Collaborate with logistics partners to coordinate the transportation of materials between suppliers, subcontractors, and production facilities. - Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety regulations
