Lead Full Stack Engineer, Marketing Cloud California - San Francisco; Washington - Seattle Overview of the Role: The Unified Marketing team builds the next generation of marketing solutions, focused on helping marketers deliver cohesive, end-to-end campaign experiences that drive real impact for customers of all sizes, shapes, and industries. We're looking for a versatile Software Engineer to build breakthrough features across content, channels, data, and orchestration - keeping our trusted platform stable, scalable, and ready for what's next. Responsibilities: Design and develop high-quality APIs, distributed systems, and platform features that prioritize reliability, availability, and scalability in a multi-tenant environment Build and ship production-grade software using modern engineering practices, with AI as a core part of your workflow - including designing agentic systems where AI integrates seamlessly into human workflows Critically evaluate human- and AI-generated code for correctness, quality, security, and performance, and contribute to the shared system context that enables AI to operate reliably Design intelligent testing strategies, participate in on-call rotations, mentor teammates, and lead with both technical depth and collaborative spirit Required Qualifications: 8+ years of professional software development experience, with deep knowledge of Java, web services (SOAP, REST, GraphQL, etc.), and distributed systems concepts including reliability, scalability, and performance Strong data skills including the ability to build, execute, and debug complex queries in relational databases, plus experience with client-side development (JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.) and enterprise tooling (Git, Jenkins, IntelliJ, etc.) A genuine AI-first approach to engineering - using tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Codex
