This role will support the Chartering team and collaborate closely with various commodity business units to deliver safe, timely and efficient shipping services while navigating through a dynamic shipping market. Reporting to the Global Portfolio Manager, you will: - Lead and negotiate charter contracts with shipowners and brokers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes. - Ownership of end-to-end contract lifecycle, including negotiation, execution oversight and performance optimization. - Actively engage with shipowners and broker networks to build and manage strategic commercial relationships. - Identify and execute third-party freight trading opportunities, including engaging external market participants, taking calculated positions and managing freight exposure to enhance portfolio outcomes - Contribute to market intelligence, including freight reporting and insights to inform decision-making. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize supply chain value, vessel performance and freight decisions. - Monitor and manage contract performance, ensuring timely vessel nominations and issue resolution - Develop and maintain a deep understanding of mine-to-customer supply chain dynamics. - Partner with Vetting team to improve safety and operational capabilities of market vessels. - Partner with Performance team to attain decarbonization targets. - Adhere to governance frameworks
