Senior Staff Software Engineer – Automotive Battery Management Systems (f/m/d) Germering, , Germany Company Description: Job Description: Lead the development and implementation of software for battery management systems (BMS) for high-voltage, 48V, and 12V automotive applications Architect and design complex device drivers for BMS integrated circuits (ICs) Ensure and drive functional safety according to ISO 26262 standards across projects Serve as a key technical contact for OEMs and Tier-1 customers, managing customer-facing interactions and technical presentations Provide technical leadership in AUTOSAR-based software architectures and solutions Guide and mentor engineering teams, support customer projects, and deliver technical consulting Qualifications: Educated to a degree in Electroengineering, Computer Science or similar Several years of relevant professional experience Extensive experience in automotive software development, with a focus on battery management systems Deep expertise in AUTOSAR and functional safety (ISO 26262) Proven track record in developing complex device drivers for BMS ICs Significant experience in customer-facing roles with OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, ideally in international environments Excellent communication skills in English and German Strong leadership, mentoring, and customer orientation Additional Information: Renesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose ' To Make Our Lives Easier .'
