We are looking for an Accounting Manager to oversee and review payroll-related accounting activities across Remitly's global entities. Reporting to the Manager, Corporate Accounting, this individual contributor role will be responsible for reviewing payroll journal entries across multiple countries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and US GAAP requirements, and serving as the subject matter expert on the accounting treatment for payroll, benefits, taxes, and PTO. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Payroll Operations, FP&A, Benefits, Tax, Legal, and HR to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. You Will: Payroll Accounting & Close Management Review and approve journal entries across multiple international jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable accounting standards. Have understanding of key accounting concepts including accrual basis accounting . Serve as the primary accounting subject matter expert for payroll and other key related areas including employee benefits, payroll taxes, and PTO.
