Founded in 2017, we're delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Senior Software Engineer, Energy Storage This position is on a team building the software platform that powers optimized control and market participation of battery energy storage systems (BESS) - software that runs both on site controllers and in the cloud. Our scope spans the full stack: compute infrastructure, telemetry, asset modeling, alerting, feature ingestion and storage for forecasting and optimization, simulation and operational control orchestration, and integration with energy markets. We're a lean team that holds ourselves to high standards in both the quality of what we build and the speed at which we build it. Responsibilities will include: - Contribute to BESS data engineering - building and maintaining telemetry pipelines and stores, and feature ingestion and storage systems for forecasting and optimization - Design, build, and maintain simulation and training infrastructure - platforms for running and orchestrating simulations at scale - Develop and operate real-time forecast and optimization workflows, orchestrating pipelines that drive BESS operations - Support energy market integration, including data ingestion and bid management -
