Advisor I, Rail Contracting Job Posting Location Phillips 66 & YOU - Together we can fuel the future The Advisor I, Rail Contracting supports commercial rail strategies by executing sourcing activities that deliver competitive rail pricing, and enable safe, reliable, and cost-efficient rail movements. What You'll Do Develop, negotiate, and manage rail agreements, including freight rates, third-party storage, transloading, and related services. Participate in RFPs with rail carriers: gather business requirements, issue RFPs, analyze responses, and recommend optimal rail service and routing options. Monitor rail market dynamics (pricing, competition, capacity) and align contracting decisions with operational and cost objectives. Act as a business partner to internal stakeholders including operations, aligning rail policies, processes, and standards and resolving railcar movement and supply chain issues. Partner with Accounting and business units to resolve invoice discrepancies, accessorial disputes, and routing issues; validate charges against contracts and TMS and support accruals/variance reviews. Support data collection, reporting, and analysis of rail spend, rates, and performance using Excel, Power BI, and other tools to identify efficiency, and risk mitigation opportunities. Work extended or non-standard hours as needed to support time-sensitive contracting activities, business needs, or service disruptions.
