EHS Specialist Kearny, NJ Hiring Manager: Alex Sim HR Rep: Patricia Oltar Summary: The position will work closely with leadership level and employee level team members across the manufacturing site to support a strong proactive safety culture and an effective, efficient, and compliant EH&S process. The position will maintain documentation to support compliance with regulatory standards at the federal, state, and local levels. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: General Comply with all OSHA, Owens Corning, and other workplace regulatory rules. Proactively lead the Owens Corning Kearny team by example in all aspects of EH&S. This is an in-person, onsite role in an industrial manufacturing setting. Availability to work on different shifts once per week to support 24-hour manufacturing operations. Attend daily production department shift huddles once per week to communicate EHS initiatives. Investigate workplace safety concerns and submit SAP work request notifications as needed. Participate in Owens Corning EHS regional calls to understand Roofing & Asphalt Divisional priorities. Assist in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) program implementation. Support facility needs through management of EH&S vendor activities. Support facility safe operation through EH&S supply purchasing and procurement. Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
