About this role

Principal Electrical Engineer- Data Center Design and Innovation United States, US Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building the next generation of gigawatt-scale cloud infrastructure to power AI, high-performance computing, and the world's most demanding enterprise workloads. We are seeking innovative Mechanical Engineers to lead the development of next-generation data center designs focused on scale, availability, speed, and operational efficiency. In this role, you will drive the mechanical architecture and product strategy behind OCI's rapidly expanding global data center footprint. You will be at the forefront of evaluating and deploying advanced cooling technologies, airflow strategies, and mechanical systems capable of supporting hyperscale and GW-scale infrastructure growth. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering, operations, supply chain, manufacturing, and external partner teams to define the future of OCI mechanical infrastructure. This is a highly visible technical leadership role with direct influence on design standards, product roadmaps, and long-term infrastructure strategy. Budgets and Efficiency: -Leads the implementation of energy efficient solutions to optimize design of heat rejection systems and minimize losses. -Spearheads the evaluation of, provides consultation on the efficiency of, and evaluates self-build programs. -Distills and articulates architectural tradeoffs in terms of key metrics (e.g., feasibility, performance, cost, risk, and schedule) to drive upgrades to efficiency. -Leverages deep, cross-functional knowledge to lead team activity. Infrastructure Design and Development-Capacity Delivery: -Drives the next generation of mechanical designs for OCIs GW scale delivery Drives the delivery of infrastructure capacity for Oracle Cloud. -Architects solutions to enable capacity across cloud offerings.
