About this role
Data Center Technician Ashburn, VA, United States, US Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Schedule to cover 24/7 data center operations. We encourage you to apply and join our team! What you'll be doing: Hardware installation & configuration of enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure. Hardware Break/Fix replacement of FRUs Rack installation including putting racks in place, cabling, power up and handoff of servers to internal provisioning teams. Troubleshooting and resolve Telco Connectivity issues Troubleshoot & Replace Network Switch equipment You will communicate within a ticketing environment that is used and supervised by multiple internal Oracle Cloud service owners and teams. Documentation of activities and build/modify SOPs Structured cabling, labeling, and troubleshooting of fiber/copper/telecom cables. System power supplies and cabling install, fix and repair You should be able to execute small projects on your own and work with your manager in planning and executing larger local projects. Requirements: Knowledge of server/storage/network hardware. Strong interest in learning new DC concepts. Strong verbal and written communication skills Shift schedule (4 days a week, 10-hour shifts). Includes weekends and holidays. 3+ years working in an IT environment. Experience solving problems on servers, networking devices and IT equipment. Inventory management experience.
