Supplier Master Data Lead (P2P Systems, Controls & Automation) San Francisco, California, United States About the Team OpenAI is building Procurement of the future: one that uses AI-enabled systems, clean data, and scalable processes to help the business absorb increasing complexity, speed, volume, and throughput - while enabling teams across OpenAI to operate more strategically and at greater scale. Supplier Administration is a critical foundation of that model. Accurate, complete, and well-governed supplier data enables faster purchasing, cleaner payments, stronger controls, better reporting, more effective risk management, and more scalable automation across the procure-to-pay lifecycle. About the Role We are looking for a Supplier Master Data Lead to help reimagine how supplier administration operates in an AI-enabled procurement environment. This role will lead and mature the supplier data foundation behind OpenAI's procurement and finance operations, with a focus on data integrity, scalable processes, automation readiness, practical AI adoption, and support for supplier risk management workflows. This is not a traditional supplier administration role. As OpenAI scales, supplier data must become a trusted operating asset - structured, accurate, and actionable enough to support AI-enabled workflows, exception-based operations, third-party risk management, vendor risk reviews, reporting, and faster decision-making. You will partner closely with Procurement, Accounting, Finance, Third Party Risk Management, Legal, Tax, Security, and business teams to strengthen supplier onboarding, supplier updates, banking and tax data controls, data cleanup, process standardization, and supplier risk review support.
