Plant Operator I Konawa, OK JOB INFORMATION Job Title: Plant Operator I Job Code: 127953 Effective Date: 2026-02-02 JOB SUMMARY Responsible to control and maintain auxiliary equipment, such as pumps, fans, compressors, condensers, feedwater heaters, filters, and chlorinators, that supply water, fuel, lubricants, air, and auxiliary power for turbines, generators, boilers, and other power-generating plant facilities. LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY Routine duties based on detailed instruction. Works under direct supervision. Responds to routine questions and problems within standards and guides. Follows established procedures to accomplish requirements of job. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Completes OGE Plant Operator Training Program attaining proficiency in all plant systems. Monitors, operates and checks equipment. Identifies abnormal equipment operations. Takes corrective action and/or initiates requests for equipment repair. Monitors, analyzes and performs boiler and cooling water chemistry tests. Keeps logs, records data and verbally communicates plant conditions. Utilizes SAP/PM system for equipment history and verification of work performed. Acquires Lock out tag out (LOTO) qualification in all plant systems. Performs LOTO on qualified systems. Follows all safety and environmental rules and regulations. Repairs, inspects and maintains boiler and boiler auxiliaries, turbine/generator auxiliaries, also fuel supply equipment and auxiliaries, if applicable.
