Mechanical Maintenance Technician Rosyth, United Kingdom We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, with the ability to work independently and within a team. They will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving plant equipment, ensuring high standards of reliability, quality, and safety. Provide daily maintenance support to production equipment and processes. Maintain and enhance plant and equipment for optimal performance and safety. Execute Planned Preventative Maintenance to maximize equipment efficiency. Ensure effective use of maintenance tools and systems, including work orders and spare part management. Mentor apprentices and colleagues, offering guidance and support. Manage contractors, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures. Progress equipment spares inventory transition to the PeopleSoft Maintenance Module. Complete required paperwork and documentation to company standards. Collaborate with engineering and QA teams for problem-solving and root cause analysis. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and best working practices. Apprenticeship training or equivalent is required. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is essential. Ability to fault find and repair pumps, motors, and mechanical parts. Experience with Machinery Safety Regulations, PUWER, and CE Marking. Good understanding of general HSE requirements and best practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Initiative and ability to identify equipment improvements. Adaptability to changing work environments and a positive, can-do attitude.
