Senior Direct Endorsement Residential Underwriter Columbus, OH IN0534 Fishers, OH0523 Independence Bus Office, OH0713 NW Bancshares HQ, PA0186 Mount Joy, PA0258 Bellevue, PA0736 Administration Center Job Description Overview The Sr Direct Endorsement Residential Underwriter is responsible to perform residential loan underwriting activities related to loan request with the goal of achieving the optimal outcome for Northwest and the customer. Essential Functions Communicate with customers, realtors, title companies, attorneys, and settlement agents to schedule closings, respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and obtain any documentation required to complete the loan file Interact with Mortgage Loan Originators, Loan Production Assistants and other team members on a daily basis to resolve questions/issues, and ensure timely underwriting of loan files Manage a pipeline of working loan files to ensure loans are underwritten in a timely manner Maintain current knowledge of mortgage loan programs, procedures, and guidelines Use Northwest's loan origination systems and agency automated underwriting systems (Freddie Mac - Loan Product Advisor, USDA Guaranteed Underwriting System) to underwrite residential mortgage loans Review and analyze documentation submitted and used in underwriting decisions for accuracy and completeness Ensure data relating to the underwriting of loans in accurate and complete in the loan origination system Review and analyze appraisal reports and title commitments to verify sufficient collateral and proper lien position to secure loans Maintain loan approval authority for all residential mortgage loan products offered by Northwest (conventional, portfolio, FHA, VA, USDA) Checking accuracy of all calculations Recommend improvements to procedures Manage personal workload/workflow Meet turnaround/production goals Ensure
