OPEX Engineer Country United States | Additional Job Posting Location(s) Job Overview The OPEX Engineer will partner with Manufacturing Leadership to drive operational excellence, process optimization, and productivity improvements across the manufacturing facility. This role will support the implementation and sustainment of PEAK (Newell's Lean operating system) initiatives while focusing on improving safety, quality, delivery, cost, and overall manufacturing efficiency. The OPEX Engineer will lead continuous improvement initiatives, support labor and process optimization, analyze manufacturing performance data, and implement process enhancements that drive measurable operational results. This position will work cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and workforce productivity. Responsibilities: Identify, lead, and facilitate continuous improvement projects aligned with PEAK initiatives and site productivity objectives. Analyze manufacturing processes and workflows to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and waste reduction. Support implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing principles including standard work, visual management, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis, and value stream mapping. Document and maintain manufacturing process flows, procedures, and operational standards.
