The New York Times is hiring a Senior Video Journalist for The Interview, our weekly show where hosts David Marchese and Lulu Garcia‑Navarro talk with influential and fascinating actors, musicians, comedians, athletes, politicians, thinkers, writers and more. The Interview is a podcast video show that also has audio, digital and print expressions. We're looking for an SVJ who can shape a smart conversation across all of those formats - thinking strategically about how to shoot a given guest and location, guiding rigorous, stylish scripting in advance, and then shaping the material in post for structure, pacing and moments of real surprise. The ideal candidate is a deeply curious consumer of news and culture who's as excited to interview a head of state as a Hollywood celebrity, comfortable giving smart visual notes, and able to be a positive, collaborative presence who works closely with two distinct hosts and a mixed
