Position Overview: MyOme is seeking a Scientist II to join our research wet lab team and help drive the development, optimization, and validation of next-generation sequencing (NGS) assays. You will work closely with Clinical Operations, Bioinformatics, and Quality teams to bring new sequencing-based tests from concept through verification and validation. What You'll Do: - Plan and execute structured development experiments including optimization, titrations, and bridging studies - Contribute to transitioning workflows from R&D into standardized or regulated environments (e.g., CLIA/CAP-ready processes) - Collaborate with the bioinformatics team to analyze results including QC metrics, run acceptance criteria, and end-to-end workflow performance to drive data-informed decisions - Author and review SOPs, batch records, validation plans and validation reports - Evaluate new reagents, instruments, and technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate What You'll Ne ed: - M.S. with 4+ years, or B.S. with 6+ years of hands-on wet lab experience in molecular biology, genomics, biochemistry, or a related discipline. Ph.D. with 1+ years of relevant industry experience also considered. - Proven, hands-on experience developing or optimizing NGS assays (e.g. whole-genome sequencing, RNASeq, etc.) end-to-end - from extraction through library
