About this role

Quality Engineer, Wireless San Francisco | Hybrid | Remote At Meter, quality is not a checkbox, it's a core value. Our customers rely on our access points to power critical infrastructure in their offices, warehouses, and campuses, where reliable Wi-Fi connectivity is as essential as electricity. This role ensures that every wireless product we ship performs flawlessly, from first connection to high-density load, in both controlled and unpredictable RF conditions. You'll lead the validation of our Wireless Access Points, ensuring seamless performance and stability across environments that reflect real customer deployments. The quality and rigor you bring directly impacts how confidently and quickly we can ship the networks that power the modern enterprise. What success looks like In your first six months, you'll own and scale the release process for AP firmware which includes executing functionality, performance, scale and features tests across diverse topologies and conditions. By month twelve, you'll have built a scalable, automated, and repeatable test framework and lab that allows Meter to confidently ship wireless firmware releases within hours, not days. What your day-to-day will look like - Lead feature and regression testing for Wi-Fi firmware releases. - Design and execute tests for functionality, features, throughput, and scale. - Build and maintain RF environments using tools like Candela, Ixia Chariot, OctoBox, or equivalent frameworks. - Work closely with developers to debug and isolate complex wireless issues. - Collaborate with automation engineers to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Analyze data and publish metrics for every release.
