The Meta Robotics Hardware team is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with an emphasis on lightweight battery pack design, thermal management, performance testing, and bringing battery designs from concept to product release. This role will be part of a ME team responsible for consumer humanoid development at Meta. Candidates should be experienced working in a high ambiguity, ever evolving environment where full system requirements are seldom known. This team is dedicated to building hardware that enables learning through data collection and testing. Responsibilities: - Mechanical engineering and packaging for lightweight, swappable battery technology. Reliability, safety, and weight are critical requirements - Planning and executing on performance, validation, endurance, and life cycle testing - Troubleshooting root-cause of mechanical failures, implementing improved designs, testing effectiveness of change - Lead CM's and Scaling partners paving the way for high volume production when
